The Ask

Story of the Forest, a light-based exhibition created in collaboration with teamLab, has long been a favorite among museum-goers. Showcasing Singapore’s ancient forest animals in a magical immersive environment, it was considered a “must-visit” experience. As the exhibition prepared to close, the challenge was clear: how do we raise awareness among audiences, while also educating them about the animals and their significance?

The Idea

To give the exhibition a second life beyond its walls, we collaborated with local artist @Sliceofwhit to bring the animals into the digital world. The result was a two-part animated series on social media, where these creatures were reimagined with a local twist — merging whimsical storytelling with environmental awareness. This creative collaboration not only celebrated the animals of the forest but also rooted their stories in a context that was relatable to Singaporeans, sparking reflection on conservation.

The Execution

The animated series unfolded across social channels, blending playful character design with storytelling that was both entertaining and informative. Each episode spotlighted different animals from the exhibition, transforming them into memorable personalities. Alongside the animations, we created supporting content that delved into the real-life facts about these species, offering audiences bite-sized knowledge on their habitats, behaviors, and importance in Singapore’s natural history.
